You know, the woman I'm still in a state of confusion with. She's easy to share poetry with. She told me she was a goddess, and that that's why I couldn't help but love her. She told me she couldn't hang out with girls, because they were too jealous of her beauty. So she had to hang out with men. That kind of stuff excites me. That vanity. That cruelty.

something must be wrong with my heart, this is the second poem I've read on this forum which strikes a nerve and it is only my first day, me thinks the Gods of lost love are conspiring to make me paranoid, enjoyed the read

Yep, I really enjoyed reading this one (and again and again…). It reminded me of the line "love is eternal till it isn't anymore" from 'the world loves us and is our bitch' by Mclusky.

Now I know what I want to say. The first three quarters of this poem remind me of an Eminem rap song (or that's how i read it in my head), but then it falters out into something else.

And this line read a little awkward for me, though it was probably purposeful (that you started and ended with 'you', in which case it'd be cool if you started and ended with 'me' in that later line: "you? Damn right but don't let the compliment get to you"
