Hello there internet! Alright, I am not really the person that's great in introductions, as they seem to turn out really unrefined and awkward, but here goes!
I'm a 17 year old that has a hobby for writing. I have a knack and liking for the English language. The reason why I am here is to be influenced and molded to be what I aspire to be. I hope this forum serves as an opportunity for me and that I develop more as a person and as a writer.
I have been site jumping for years leaving trails of poems that I have worked on, that said, I am not really a dedicated writer, I write when inspiration hits. Writing is my hobby and I plan to keep it so, that being said, I do hope that I have truly found the forum that I will call home, I will be posting my poems from time to time. I value criticism, be it positive or negative, as I believe there is always room for improvement.
In advance, pleasure in meeting you!

Hello. I used to be penguin but the stupid bird couldn't remember his password so we've put him on ice. I'm somewhere between T.S.Eliot and George Formby but I want to be between Althia and Donna, Uptown Top Rankin'.
Before criticising a person try walking a mile in their shoes. Then when you do criticise that person, you are a mile away.... and you have their shoes.

That's what we're here for -- though be warned, it's hard to shut us up once we start...
Welcome!

Might I just add a massive thanks for jumping straight in the deep end -- there is no surer way to get those grumpy bastard mods on-side.

Well, thanks! I'm not sure if I sense some sarcasm in there or not... I think not. But you're welcome. I'm not new to poetry by any means, so sitting in the kiddie pool would just be dull and frustrating. :p

It's fun to splash about there sometimes, so long as nobody pees. I find it rewarding to head into the novice forum and see if anyone can be coaxed out -- but serious is where the real fun happens. We try and keep on top of what's being posted there, both in terms of poems and critiques, but if you can think of any ways to improve the way things work, just yell at us. We are getting old but someone will find the switch for the hearing aid.

i like to pee in there now and again, yellow is my finest colour. i think feedback there is the most profitable in terms of return on expenditure
