Hello, I look forward to becoming part of this community. I have been writing poetry since I was a kid, back in my younger days I wrote more along the lines of humorous light verse but I've recently found my preference in writing darker rhyming syllabic verse. I work in IT for a living and also run an internet radio station so I lead a fairly busy life. I tend to do a good portion of my writing at work.
Also I'm a stickler for rhyme and rhythm

Hello, my name is Megan. I am almost 19 and currently reside in Alaska.
I am a member of other poetry sites, I just enjoy feedback. I want to be writer, though my interest in poetry sparked freshman year in highschool (now a senior). I write on a wide variety of subjects and styles. I find I am best at observing others and more romantic stuff. Also, I enjoy writing in free verse, sometimes prose, and sometimes traditional (though not as much). I expect to learn and grow, and accept honest criticism.

Hello everyone. This feels like a good place to be.
![]() Although I’ve mainly been writing lyrics for the past 6 years, I did begin life, so to speak, writing poetry. Lately, I’ve felt the urge to get back to those roots. I’m a Canadian living in Delft, the Netherlands. Donna

Hi there Donna, welcome back to the dark side
Lyrics are great and all, but it's hard to shake poetry isn't it?

Newsclippings - I for a brief second, was concerned of that connection. After all, if you were trying to see how many words you could build out of Pigpenians - that would be one of them.
