Hi and welcome. Even if you're not up to posting or critiquing in Serious, I highly recommend reading the poems and the critiques there. The critiques, for me, are a goldmine of an education.

Blatant prejudice! Many of us oldies deserve the same treatment.
While I remember that you like the red shackles (the ones with the sharp blue sequins),
this jacuzzi is quite newbie. So, yes, maybe you're right.

I tend to love modern free-form more than anything else -- and I like Modernist and Imagist poetry -- Yeats -- anything good, really, with good poetry being the simple universal arbitrator for my palate.

"Good" is a big country (maybe a bit like the William Wyler film "The Big Country").
There are tens of thousands of acres out there and most people think they're standing
in the middle of it. Maybe PigPen can help you find yours.

That damn blase is too yakuza for comfort. Don't you remember the yak hates the
dungeon and ends up explosively yak-pooing everywhere? Oh, right, of course you don't; those
drugs you gulp (cheap pharmaceuticals, mostly counterfeit) leave you drooling and blubbering
about Donny & Marie, and what's left of your previously tiny brain forgets even yak poo.

Bring the Australian ewe, she's pretty much been bred and trained for it.
See ewe there, 6 am; best to get an early start, lot to do.

I must warn you in advance that harsh-metal lyrics are not the forte of PigPen.
Poems about arousing umbrellas and fucking ewes, yes; but analogs of Metal
Church's "Merciless Onslaught" will be ridiculed. (Though, technically, anyone
familiar with Metal Church would ridicule, laugh, puke, and plan their gruesome
death all at the same time without the aid of enhanced reality.)

Still, your time won't be wasted here as long as you are willing to supplicate
to the gods of PigPen and grasp resolutely to your sense of absurdity.
(Hmm, well, PigPen may not be so different from harsh-metal after all.}
{Though Metal Church still sucks donkey dicks.)
