the vulture's awful screeching
WE'D WRITE IT IN CAPS.
They wore their caps on Sundays
after school,
to fool us into thinking
they couldn't be so cruel.

After school most Thursdays,
you'll listen to me play.
It allows us to forget ourselves
and makes time slip away.

Time slips away quite easily,
We hardly know it's gone;
Its river's lined with rocky cliffs,
No shores to rest upon.

There is no time but the present;
there is no space but here.
So how come stories only rest
on the future and far away?
