Thanks, I never get the allusions.

This one actually has a double allusion; the other is probably more easily recognized.
I don't usually get them either nor intentionally write them. No idea where this came from!

thanks much
Good greetings everyone. I used to write poetry back in my angsty teenage years. I found a bunch them on my laptop which has inspired me to go on this forum. I hope to pick writing back up and grow as a writer.

Hello and welcome to the pen. I suppose we could all start shouting but I still doubt you would hear our Aussies

Hello Friends,
I'm new to this forum and I would like to post in the Poetry section for critiques's review and feedback.
But I don't see the 'New Thread' option in the Poetry section.
Am I missing something?
thanks A lot!
Hello,
I'm posting my reviews on the poems but I don't see those being published?
and I don't see a button to post a poem?
Do I have to wait?

Hi Shaan, I think you answered your first question: You have to offer critique first before being able to create a new poem thread. Also, when you first join posts are initially moderated--that goes away pretty fast. Let me take a look at what you've shared.

Hi there Fallen Poet... most poets I know are already pretty low, so you must be quite exceptional

Hello,
My name is Tara. I'm interested in learning from all of you and in feeding my inner muse. I've only just begun to seriously write poetry. I started with sonnets. Go figure! What do I like about poems? Well, I'm most interested in technical poems that draw you in with their meter and turn of phrase. For me, I think a good poem just sucks me in, no matter what the subject.
So, that is what I hope to achieve. Ultimately, it is a nice way for me to experience creativity at any time and in any place without needing much at all in the way of equipment or time (although time would be a Godsend).
I look forward to interacting with you!
Tara

Hi poets. Will you kindly show me how to start a new thread, please? I am fairly new to this forum. Thank you!
