Hello and welcome to the pen! All new members should post 3 well thought out comments to others' poems in one of the critique fora (mild, novice, serious) after which they will be able to post new threads with wild abandon. Those first 3 must be approved by a moderator.
The community continues to thrive based on the give and take of the members and it should be noted poets develop much more by commenting on others' work than posting their own and your "posting with wild abandon" is still expected to include more comments than poems.
Can't wait to post a poem? During NaPM (April) poets really can post with wild abandon in the NaPM threads in "milo's forum" without any comments or moderation.
Full details are in your welcome letter.
Will the admins from the forum allow me the privilege to start my own thread, please? I already wrote four responses to several poems.

Hopefully by this time you have read the response to your previous request which (if you cannot find it) is right above your current request and no longer need another response. If you still have questions you can read your welcome letter which contains, in addition to answers to all these questions, proof of fermat's theorem, all the wisdom in the known universe and tomorrow's winning lottery numbers.
Thanks and welcome to the site.

Hello, I am new on this forum (though it's not the first forum that I've participated). I am looking for some helpful criticism to my work. I've been writing for almost four years now, but not many have read my work. I am still trying to figure out the nuances of this site, so if I do something out of wack, it will probably be due to trial and error Looking forward to conversing with everyone

welcome to the site daniel,
it's use is pretty intuitive and shouldn't be too hard. we're more concerned with feedback than cockups so don't worry

Hi, I'm Destiny. I thought I'd post here first before I jumped in. I've been writing poetry seriously for about three years or so. I'm excited to be here amongst people that love the art/craft as much as I do!

Thank you so much! I hope so too.
I have a question, I'm sorry if this sounds dumb, but how do I post a poem? I cannot find the "New thread" button anywhere.

hi shrewbe, welcome to the site

Hello, forum.
My name is Melissa and I have just joined this page; hoping to come out of my shell so-to-speak and to grow in my skill as a writer. I have never formally taken any writing courses nor have I ever been published. I love Charles Bukowski and William S. Burroughs writings and have a blog page which I seldom do any writing. My style is probably stream-of-consciousness..
Anyway, I am a homebody and a mother, my personality type is INTJ and I'm pretty interested in that. I'm a virgo, also find astrology quite fascinating.
Say hello if you'd like. I'm open to connecting here and elsewhere.
Hopefully I can figure out how to post some of my 'work' for some constructive criticism.

Hi Melissa,
Welcome to the site! I remember of couple of Charles Bukowski poems that got me interested in poetry. You'll be able to post your poetry once you critique a few people, It's all laid out in your welcome letter.
Hmm ENTP (though I split I/E), I on the DISC profile, Cancer, Scorpio Rising, Libra Moon. Favorite Animal: Badger
Whew, that covers it. Welcome again.
