I'm pretty satisfied with this edit and name as well. I want to keep interpretations open but with a clear poem (I hope I've somewhat accomplished this).

Actually, I am working on a collection danny, but it's coming along really slowly. I've came down with a terrible case of writer's block for the past month or so. I guess offering critiques and reading should fill the gap, though I haven't been doing much of the former lately. yikes

Well, writing takes time. I view it as residing alongside our life and is always there when we want it.

There is one suggestion, though, that has worked for me. Timed writing practice. You set maybe 10 mins, 20 mins, whatever you like, and sit and write everything on your mind and going on in your heart. Giving yourself the freedom to write anything helps tremendously. There's no expectations and no mental editor involved at this point. Doing this leads into your feelings about things, giving you subjects to write on. Sometimes it even leads into decent material ready for editing. Free-writing with a time limit provides a little pressure to open a window that normally you don't know how to open.

Most runners or sports players take quite a bit of time just warming up, practicing. Well, writing practice is the same. We warm up our mind and get connected with our words, and eventually it helps us find what we want to say. Give it a try.

P.S. Yes I think you did what you hoped with your poem. I like that kind of poetry.
