		I'm a Good Dog
(... just another doggone song of mine)
I'm a good dog
and my name is Jack
open up the door
and lemme out the back
I wanna walk along the trail
see what I can find
got a pretty little lady dog
on my mind
Up around the bend
and down by the creek
that's where she was
when I met 'er last week
she's got perky little ears
and a tiny pug nose
a shiny black coat much prettier
than clothes
(HOWLLL YEAH!)
She's a pretty little lady dog
and that's a fact
and I'm a good dog
and my name is Jack

on my mind this section should be the refrain

Repeat the refrain here

Thanks Paul-
This is just a little acapella ditty I'd sing with Jack on the trail, and it's all of 40 seconds long.  The doggie did seem to like it as we got up to "the spot" by the creek if I repeated the line
I'm a good dog and my name is Jack. Probably because it was my voice singing the words
good dog and
Jack.
Interestingly, "the spot" became an area where dozens of painted rocks were left: visual poetry, by kids.  I thought of it as a memorial to a good dog, even though the rocks were left there 3 years after Jack had moved on to the big biscuit in the sky.  I guess "the spot" offered some sort of spiritual significance for others, as well.  Gotta love how the world works sometimes...

Once it popped into my head and outta my mouth it stayed the same.
