Hello, I'm from the Netherlands. I'd like to improve both my poetry and my English, so when I found this site, I thought it might be a good idea to become a member and share some of my poems. I haven't had much inspiration lately, but maybe it'll come back sometime soon. In the meantime I'll try to give some feedback and I hope that when I write something again, that I can get some good feedback too.

i think you're in the right place then cos most of us are here for the same things
from your post here i'd say your language skill is looking good (better than mine  and im from the uk.
make sure you take a look around at all the forums.
were just out of site transition, so forgive us if we're a little sow in posting replies

Hi everyone, I'm new here. I have a question for you  when did you start writing poems? and why?
I started at the age of 10/11. I mostly write in Dutch, but sometimes in English.
I enjoyed writing at a very young age and later on I tried to write poems. And a friend suggested this site to me

Hi, Welcome to the pigpen.
I didn't start writing poetry until 1997...which means I was in my mid-fifties. I used to love writing essays at school but I didn't know that people like me wrote poetry! But, I started to dream poems as a mature adult. I would wake up with bits of them still in my brain. I ignored this for as long as I could and then began to write them down.
I still consider myself a student of poetry and I love the learning process.
Please post a poem for us to see. (preferably in English..if only for my benefit)

I started writing poetry in September of 2011 . . . Ahh it feels just like yesterday (or more like a couple months ago)
What my years(0.1643 years to be exact) have taught me is that Jill and others are good at poetry and I am good at . . . umm . . . and I am good at . . . well! It's taught me that these guys are good at poetry

I posted one, but I'll post more..I'm not sure when to do this.
I'm not very good at english essays, but I think that's because of my english and because of the subjects.
