Torrent Whoring

someone who puts a dvd up in a torrent is creating an original torrent. someone who then simply downloads the torrent then uploads it with changing it is a torrent whore and they do exist.

many of the dupe torrents have had stuff changed.
speed, sync, bit rate etc. even putting a title in its proper place they're not done by a torrent whore. these are again original torrents.

a whore simply puts up the exact thing that was already there.

personally for me, the more whores out there the better chance of finding a torrent. i never had a problem with them.

i can see how as a mod it can be a bitch if you have to inspect the exact same upload twenty times. but as i say, it's not something that bothers me.

Your opinion is valued and under free speech it is a must but I believe it is wrong myself. There can be no such thing as a torrent whore as long as the file in the torrent has been stolen in the first place.
If I make a movie on the other hand and then decide to upload it to the net via a torrent and you download it only to re-upload it as yours only to make a reputation for yourself then you have indeed done this for personal gain and in so doing you are a whore and I would be well within my rights to call you one.
