here's the thing, they didn't actually do that, a typewriter and a computer keyboard aren't the same thing.

you could have just kept on using a typewriter
putting yourself out there on the web was a choice, we/you weren't driven to do it. we even still have pen/pencil and paper if you want to be outside the sharing side of things.

Another crazy thing is making a writer's typewriter into an instrument that instantly goes out to the entire planet. Hours in front of a typewriter can make you feel crazy. When they made a typewriter that writes back to you... What did people expect?

yeah, thats what all the robitussin addicts say after reading your post i sort of side with the doctors view specially the part i bolded out.

I was put into a mental hospital because I got high on Robitussin and the doctor thought I was trying to commit suicide. I used to walk around the park talking to myself and no one gave a shit. Hours and hours alone make people crazy. Drugs make people crazy. This is not a sob story the mental hospital I went to was not so bad, but they strapped me to a gurney even though I would have walked. I saw another man strapped to a gurney who was screaming his ass off. I used to get worked up and yell and punch the wall like a jack ass. Nobody would ever try to molest me in my neighborhood, though I did think some squatters were outside my house plotting to kill me. I don't care if someone calls me crazy as long as that doesn't impede any of my freedom. Sometimes you can tell people your crazy and actually use it to your advantage. Just bored I guess.

I can tell you've seen some things billy. You've probably seen more derelicts than me but detaining me was a waste of government funding. They called an ambulence for me what if someone was having a heart attack or a stroke? It's an ineffectual system perhaps it is the best they can do given a lack of resources.
