Sleek and sure
but ready to move
teenaged bears
teach a lesson
in owning our space
I cannot bear teenagers-
they think they know it all,
they leave their porn lying around
and scribble on the walls.
I sure am glad they’ve left home-
they got me really stressed.
I’m enjoying my middle age
sitting in my empty nest.
little bear made a space helmet
from a box. He tumbled down a hill
and found himself lost on another planet
down the hill is the post-office;
the postman starts his rounds from it,
he wears a helmet on his head,
his postie bike is dusty red.
He waves at me and I wave back.
When I see him we have a chat.
