Reminds me of The Cook, The Thief, His Wife & Her Lover (watch it, it's great). In fact, in that context, this keeps growing in meaning -- at least until you get to the fourth line. And honestly, even without thinking of that, the fourth line seems to me a sort of interruption: I like the ick of all the preceding words without the accompanying slosh.
