River- Marketplace of ideas is basically an old analogy defending current freedom of speech laws. The idea being the best ideas come to light when in contrast to others in the "marketplace". Thus you need all ideas to exist openly.
Basically my tempt at an haiku is a critique on capitalism being buttered up by terms like "The Marketplace of Ideas". When in essence in the USA we all exist to live under everything being quantified by money and value. Including our lives / roles / dreams.
