A delightful poem. I can picture this scene. Though I haven’t had cosmos in a vase, I’ve had this experience with tulips. A few days in, once they begin to wilt, they really do look like they are bending their heads over the side of the vase to look down at all the petals and pollen and seeds they have been spilling onto the table as though they are saying, “Good gracious, who has been making this mess?”

Then they hold a little tulip trial and implicate Tiffany. She's terribly un-tidy.
