Hi Bunx,
Is one of the questions you are asking whether critique is useful or helpful? If so, I struggle with that question, too. For me, I think the answer is yes. Good or bad, it gives the writer an outside perspective that can help hone their skills, get out of their own head. Although, I wonder what the world would be like if the greats of any art had listened too much to their critics. For me, I appreciate any honest opinion of my work and I have a responsibility, as well, of honest reflection of any feedback I get.
