I love this poem. It is very relatable how the insecurities we create in our own minds can be easy to believe but it’s our own self doubt telling us we aren’t good enough.
I love the mention that if it was our loved ones- best friends- who put our passions , creativity , writings down that would hurt more than the stupid taunting voice inside our head that tells us we are not good enough. We have all been there
and you’re stanza-
But if You
You little rascal
In my head
Told me my life means nothing
I would laugh at you
Because you can’t say it to my face
Because you literally are me-
It’s a good acknowledgement that the insecurity is coming from within and we need to laugh at it not believe our subconscious.
I say if you are unsure of the flow keep playing with it and it could possibly be shortened
B
Great poem though
