What makes my magic more worthwhile for me is that I'm not Platonic. My magic doesn't work because I have a framework, it works when I don't. Frameworks are like the scaffolding around the building while it's being made. Same thing with reading and practicing. The real magic happens when the work stops, the scaffolding is removed, and I stagger drunkenly, like an autistic King Kong, into the building. And when I say into, I mean in, too.
