L2 and L3 do their job swimmingly
L1 feels a bit clunky by comparison. Shed leaves? Won't catch? I'm a bit too confused to be immersed..have to work too hard to parse the image/gesture

Ah! are we looking forlornly at bare branches?

Can't bemoan the bare branches, if the leaves were still on they would catch the snow and topple the tree. The trees are right to prepare. I'll get it into one line in good time.
