i'm not sure it would help if they let the afghan's try him, though i agree they should.
if found guilty they could fry him, and let the Afghan president pull the plug. as well as inviting the families of the dead over to witness the act.
it would show that the usa while while strong in their commitment to protect their own (give a fair trial), were understanding enough to allow the afghans some kind of closure (not that there would be any) i think if they did something like that, some good could come from such a heinous act
