What you call dragon style
is monkey steals peaches.
Yours is the kata of a video game
with anime thousand foot leaps to nowhere.
I am a haiku
of twelve syllables.
brush of wind
blossoms in winter
the stream bed dry
I am the hand that grasps
the pebble, the quick release,
the little death.

I am still laughing at the title of this Todd! It’s certainly apropos posting this in the fun forum. I suppose dragon style is a ‘kung fu grip’. Shouldn’t that be ‘monkey steals the peach’? No matter, the way you have it sounds more of a translation regardless. Great use of metaphoric expressions to stay within the theme, especially, ‘the little death’! Very witty and amusing poem./Chris

Thank you billy, though I doubt the poem ever got around to "I conquered"
