A Senryū

.

There was a senorita who ate
chips and Velveeta who’s sweeta
and happy she did eat her!

Note:

Definition of SENRYU
: a 3-line unrhymed Japanese poem structurally similar to haiku but treating human nature usually in an ironic or satiric vein

How long after picking up the brush, the first masterpiece?

The goal is not to obfuscate that which is clear, but make clear that which isn't.

Oh Lord has it come to this
that we must strive to fail; to rhyme
is not a sin like gluttony.

Gluttony is apropos, as this is most rhymes that I have ever packed into a tiny poem. Burp...

Of course, anything goes. This is an online magazine,so to speak, and since someone did it here it must make it a Senryū, right? Ipsp facto, so is yours. Ever read "Gulliver's Travels"? The only problem is that yours rhymes. chedder-better. It would be better if you wrote

Tom

"to rhyme

That depends on what the definition of "is" is.

Thanks for playing,

Dale
