The Sun
#1
I pulled down my
cowl neck sweater
to expose my
beating pulse spot
to the hot sun
coming through
the huge window.

I closed my eyes
tight,
and breathed in
slow,
waiting.

Instead of
sucking my blood…
I wanted IT
to give me
warmth, comfort,
and love.

IT did!

I hadn’t seen the sun
in so long,
I was delightfully
surprised!

the first verse feels kinda
luxurious and decadent to me for some reason.
and the last was like an opposite.

thanks for a warm poem Bianca. Wink

I really liked thee opening images in this... it was evocative but a little oblique, kinda strange like an art film. Nice.
PS. If you can, try your hand at giving some of the others a bit of feedback. If you already have, thanks, can you do some more?

Glad you both liked it. It's a fun favorite of mine! I was in a dashing mood!
