Hey CJ. I like it. A nice clear image except "with Cat" rather than "with the cat" makes "Cat" feel like a proper noun. Was that the intent? Does the speaker have a sister named Cat?

so yes, that was the intent. does it not work here? i am always open to suggestions.

I liked that you used Cat without "the." It makes it more of a "character" in the poem, and not just an object. I actually imagined the expression on Cat's face. :-)
