Justification lies

"Justification lies
in the angle of its mirror" Does "the angle of its mirror" mean the same as the way the mirror is angled? How does "Justification" have a mirror? How does something lie in the angle of anything? An angle is an abstract term. An angle is no more the actual bend in the pipe anymore than a map is the same as the actual land that it symbolizes or represents. Why is it "its mirror" instead of "the mirror"? If I just put a man's name in as a place holder, does the sentence make sense? Joe lies in the angle of his mirror. The first two words are the noun/verb pairing that makes this a sentence. One cannot lie in an angle. One can lie in the angle formed where two boulders meet, but that is because the person is actually lying between two boulders, the angle only give the space between the two boulder a possible shape. That is to say, one would assume that the shape would be in the shape of a "V". What the sentence is really saying is the person can lie in the space between the two boulders that happens to be in the shape of a "V". For this sentence to make sense it would need to say Justification lies in the angle formed by... Sorry, but currently it simply makes no sense the way the sentence is structured. It could be I am wrong on this and I would be glad to be so, but I don't think I will be on this one. Anyway, I can't go on more about the poem as I have no idea what it means. Oh, one other question. I'm sure you must have a reason for it, but it simply eludes me. Why is this enclosed in quotation marks? Best, Dale

The goal is not to obfuscate that which is clear, but make clear that which isn't.
