Read the stuff just below this thread -it will help you a lot.
 
Remember that people post expecting to get feed-back: if someone doesn't take to what you have written, don't take it personally. It is not about getting in little digs. People post because  they want feed-back.
 
And it isn't serious serious serious.

		Hi, peeps, welcome. If you're new to workshopping I suggest reading the critique tips in the Important Threads and giving it try, it gets the mind working. Read as much poetry as you can to figure out what works for you and how best to go about your own write. 
There's a rich library here, great explanations in the Poetry Exercises and  many interesting examples of crit and editing in the workshops.
 
Hope you have fun here.
