ice is ice
The best ice is ice.
If it's hot however,
the mundane
will do better.

sodium acetate?
i would remember the general significance of the term -- rather, the moment in which its signifiance was duly impressed upon me -- but even its surface meaning eludes me, perhaps because of the above. somehow, the separation of 'will do' feels unnecessary, although missing this memory i cannot be sure -- what i can be sure of is that the semicolon, perhaps even the comma, is unneeded: considering the rules of style i remember, sure, but also considering that last line's impact, separation by line should be enough.

'then the mundane will do' I think should be one line, because mundane has nothing to do with temperature. 'The best ice is ice' well hell yeah it is, dope, fresh, super-fly. It's not mundane , it's the best, BUT, doesn't really exist in the heat as ice. BUT, hot CAN be dope, fresh, super-fly too. But when it's Superhot, like outside, if there isn't some way to keep cool , like with ice, everything seems mundane. Mundane, unwilling to make decisions really about much, so everything 'will do'. Ugh. Just want to think about ice in the heat. 'The best ice is ice'

Thanks CRNDLSM, you pick up on most if not all the word play. Very gratifying for me.
