I’d pay to sit behind her

I'd pay to sit behind her, blind to what

was on the screen, and watch the image flicker

on her hair.

A piece of a poem by Jimmy Carter, for Rosalyn, about their early dates

He's even more of a hero to me now.  Though when I read the title I had a different vibe expectation.  My sophistication level can be very low  Blush

Well River,

I am no expert in the history of Jimmy Carter.  BUT,  I think he is one of the most underrated US presidents in history.  Certainly in his post-presidency period.  He spent his legacy trying to secure fair elections across the world and was personally building houses for 'Habitat for Humanity' literally into his 90's.  No other former president has come close.  And now to find out he wrote poems too......what's the emoji for mind blown?

The world will morn his passing.
