Does a cop pray for
innocent victims he shot
or the things he's seen?
Maybe everything between.
I pray that family
finally connects us all.
At some point in time......

I find myself oddly twisting "for" on L1 into either "over" or "about," the actually innocent would not require prayers, one would think.
And, detail fanatic that I am, can't help wondering why "[i]nnocent" is capitalized on L2 contra sentence structure. Are the Innocent generic or, perhaps, individually unknown?
Makes you think.

Duke! Thanks for the reply so, Innocent was a cellphone error (whoops) but I like the idea of a happy accident. Every innocent person in jail I'd consider the "Unknown Solider" metaphor. Maybe "Unknown Innocence".
I love switching for to over in line one. Technically I think prayers hold more weight said for an individual or an "Innocent".
Thanks for the read Duke hope you're well.
