In the desert

demons have faces
and guns

instead of Bibles
and articulate lies.

Hi Aish,
[ind] Sometimes it's better to be able to recognize the crooks. One of my favorite quotes from a movie is: 'The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.' The biggest crooks are hiding behind smiles and coffee

it feels like the christians have it then Smile

i like the opposites of the two images, and i like that we make our own minds up as to who the demons are.

Thank you, Billy. I wanted it open ended.

Seems to me the demons change all the time Smile

Yes, we know there are bad guys-- but who? How do we recognise them? The Arabs of the desert feared the Sand-demon -- which has the ability to change its form into anything. Telling, eh? Wink

A short but effective poem highlighting how similar the fire-and-brimstone preachers of hate are to terrorists we westerners only hear about on the news. I especially liked the adjective "articulate". Thanks for the read, Aish.
