Harmonious Serenity
#1
condensation beads
cried down green blades
as the yellow heat rises
and folds the white humid fog.

the large chested swans swoon
with lazy lids and confidence,
sparrowhawks slide with the wind
expansive in modesty,
flowers close their eyes
and smile up when it rains,
the meadow sways
like a child's sun-smothered hair,
trees are wrinkled couples
watching from farm-house porches
in harmonious simplicity.

intruders murder
with authoritarian hands,
splicing the wise
and slaying all green,
Mother cries and floods the field.

in eager pain
nothing is heard
but the silent sirens
of longing serenity.
