Hi and welcome to The Pig Pen!

None of what you wrote made sense to me, but maybe that's a good thing.

I am absolutely new and fresh to this site.   It looks like it is made of tightly wound fibers and cohesive stuctures, unlike so many other things these days.    Am looking forward to getting ahead in my writing and with my writing by engaging you all denizens, conceivers, and compositional writers as poets tend to become.  ts surprising how little time there is to read ANYTHING anymore / such a completey refreshing and revitalizing post-up exeter here, seems like a composite of birch, sycamore and aspen - or pine

Renewal is a good thing. Big Grin

Read your welcome letter, click on each forum for guidelines and important threads and tips, read a bunch of poems and if you want to point out strong and/or weak points go ahead.

Or do none of that and blunder on in, a roll in the mud never hurt anyone. Hysterical

Hi, Solstice, Smile, Welcome to the Pen. Old threads are  mostly a treasure trove, sometimes a slop pit, I hope you come out alive. Big Grin

Hi everyone,

Recently signed up on here, looking forward to critiquing and sharing some stuff I've written. I've always shied away from poetry in the past, despite being a passionate writer. But I found myself far more deeply inured to poetry than I would have imagined. Especially after reading lots of great reads that pulled me in that direction. If it's of any interest I highly recommend Chris Winman's My Bright Abyss, Hammer is the Prayer, and War of the Foxes (Richard Siken).

Thanks, looking forward to getting to know some of you guys.

Jump in feet first, it's the best way to do it and you only end up breaking legs that way -- nothing important.

I look forward to talking poetry with you.

Hi all! I've been reading poetry forever, and writing for almost as long. But today, I submitted to a print publication (just the poetry section of a local nonprofit newspaper, but I'm still really excited!), and have been looking for a good place to discuss poetry and writing poetry, and to share good feedback! I'm really into form and rhyming and structure right now, and experimenting with alliteration and assonance and other ways of playing around with sound.

I've mostly used Reddit and tumblr in the past, and creative writing groups at University, but I recently discovered the pig pen and I'm excited to join in on the fun!

Nice to e meet everybody ?
And so it goes :-)

Hello everyone,

My name is fuzzyllama, but you can call me fuzzy or fuzz for short (that's what my friends call me). I am dramatically new to poetry, as I was always one of the science and math nerds who despised sitting through English class. This is somewhat of a rebirth for me. As I grow into my young adult years I am continually gaining a vast appreciation for the creative arts. For now, I will be here to learn. I want to read as much poetry and criticism as possible. I have absolutely loved the few days I have been in the pen so far. If I post, tear me apart. I have always been keen on masochism.
I've always wanted to live in a world where it's okay to pronounce both L's in my name.
