A Bloody Honeymoon
#1
I mark the origin of my mood
by poor calendar work and miscalculation.
After one bout, I turned away pleased but wet.
Oh Annie, moon's literality can be faced,
if you bathe long, hour's soak in Paphian seas.

I know Botticelli often the time ignored
and posed mensic girls upon his stage to paint.
and immaculate they emerged out from clams,
hair long curled flowing about their face.

Ha! and Dido. Passes her hand quick and down,
squeeze to close the leak, seeping oyster shell;
but too late! Aeneas turned, then sailed away.

Jonah takes delight in watching ravens sport,
mating through their beaks. "Crow, crow!"
Roman sailors jibe, grab Jonah by the neck.
Such labic inclinations will be found out,
by numbers of lots cast and bloody lips.

Sweetheart, I agree to be have my face
swallowed by a whale if I can taste
your deepest ambergris, but I must be dazed
by muscarine. Acquire a taste? Maybe I could.
After all, a woman's tail is only periodic,
a saurian-drag behind, following witchy-washy
moss, timed to Eve's necessity and to moons
rising though the Banyan trees.

Off our balcony here on Lahaina, a hag leaps
and rides her stick, scares babies perambulating
the park watching Paradise birds and doves;

After time in painful bends and clearing flow,
she returns as an angel, brings berries
for my cream; plays pussy-foot out her gown
and hands me a spoon, spreads her knees.
