Hi everyone, nice to meet you all!
I'm Mat, 32, and living a gypsy life throughout Europe.
I'm passionated by art in general but since half a year I got stuck to something called philosophy and poëtry
My native languages are Dutch and French but I write in English.
At the moment I like reading Leonard Cohen and Frederico Garcia Lorca.
Love, Mat

remember everyone, people don't spend time giving you feedback because they love you. they'll only love you if you spend time giving them feedback. give feedback and be loved

Hi wingedmo26
welcome to the site. i see you posted 4 poems
well that's what we like here, people who post their work.
you may not get lots of feedback on them though. i'll reply to them
in a while but many won't unless you give someone else a bit of feedback.

Welcome wingedmo26.
Perhaps you could let us know which of your poems you'd like some feedback on first. Serious Critique takes a lot of time and there are fewer of us who venture in there to comment fully, so we tend to prefer just one poem at a time.
Thanks!

Hello! I'm Ambus! I posted on here the other day and have received fantastic feedback and am going to try to provide feedback myself, not that I'll be much help! Thanks for all the help!

Ambus, ANY feedback is good feedback (as long as it's not the crappy "I love this, you're amazing" kind!). Every reader has valuable insights that help us improve. Thanks very much for getting involved, that's why we're here!

Thank you for the welcoming Mark and Billy. Please tell me if I am understanding this right. To post a poem I go to the Novice forum, start a brand new thread and I post my poem there. That is where I will receive critique as well. Is that correct?

you can post a poem in any of the forums (yes it's always started in a new thread). if you think it should be in novice then post there, and the same if you think it should be in serious and welcome in depth feedback.
we don't have thousands of members but you will get feedback/critique. after a short while. if you give feedback you'll find you'll get more feedback than if you don't
looking forward to some of your poetry

Hey there pigpen. I'm the braggman. I was lured over to the dark side by a couple o' your members who know me from another site. I can't say that I am the most bookish in my style. I spent a few decades trying to make my language plainer and and more contemporary with each poem. It gives me a nearly casual tone which I hope isn't mistaken for laziness. I get plenty of comments on the other site, but I hear they pack a better punch over here. Thought I would drop a few of them here (not all at once) and drop a few of my words at the bottom of yours.

Like your style already, braggman. Casual won't kill us
Go nuts... a bit at a time of course...
