Hello people! I came across pigpen while looking for a forum to get feedback on my poetry. I've been writing for years but never sharing my work. A couple days ago I decided to google about poetry categories. I discovered my poetry is prosaic. So here I am, seeking to become more poetic

I've written many poems for the purpose of catharsis, but wish to become more of a proper poet. Just this week I wrote my first sonnet and my first villanelle, in addition to other shorter pieces, all of which I hope don't suck.

Actually, they likely do suck. But hopefully I'll improve with all of your help.

I can't spell, my grammar is awful, my vocabulary is limited, I flunked English, I rely on spell check and I don’t read that much. What am I doing here? Well, I Wrote a poem, a beautiful girl told me it was amazing and now I think I’m Leonard Cohen.

I hope I don't embarrass myself too much. All of the above is true, apart from the Leonard Cohen bit.
