Say "Hi" in this Thread
Hi Brian, we've nothing to sell but ourselves and I won't vouch for disease-free among this lot. We're all of us here for much the same reasons as you, with or without publishing ambitions.

Nice to have you on board. Your critical eye will grow back, be poked out, be replaced by a tougher one and then fall into the soup. Enjoy.

After scoping around online this forum seemed pretty alive, responsive and not trying to sell me anything (yet?).

I have joined mainly to seek inspiration and hopefully increase my productivity... and I hope to be able to give some constructive feedback to others too, I once had a critical eye but that was some time ago now!

Fave poets: John Wilmot (2nd Earl of Rochester), Keats and Coleridge. Writers... Hunter S Thompson, Christopher Hitchens, F.Scott Fitzgerald.

I also have some publishing ambitions and ideas, so always on the lookout for potential collaborators.

So there we go Wink

Hi Brian - atheists like Hitchens will be damned. We only appreciate pope-passed poetry here. Praise blond Jesus. Just kidding. Welcome to the Pen and please take a moment to check out my website selling cheap razors.
I like your choice of poets.

Hey, everyone. I'm Luke. I love all things poetry: writing it, reading it, reading about it, thinking about it, pontificating about it, etc. You get the point.

Looking forward to jumping in to this lively scene.....

It's plotting, but since it's about 50 times slower, yours would have to run into the box or something.

Hello everyone!

My name is Neoriko, I go with Neo. I'm not a native English speaker.
I have written a few poems in my native language before. I wanna
try free writing in English, maybe a little bit of poetry too.

I'm excited about reading the poems in the forum and can't wait
for your feedback on my trials.

Thank you.

The reason you can't post poems is because you haven't read your welcome letter.  This is a workshop and we ask that you leave thoughtful, well-considered feedback on at least three other poems in the workshop forums before you try posting your own stuff. Your comments will be moderated until it's clear that you're making a reasonable attempt to be helpful.

The poems that you have attempted to post on discussion threads have been deleted.

Hi all!
I'm f*sion here at the forum, but if it doesn't catch on, I can be called Charlin or Cha or even a Smelly Sock, I don't mind.
English is not my native language, I know you're probably bored to death by this excuse. I'm pretty confident when writing in my native language (not published or great, though), but as I'm actually consuming more English than Polish now, stupid poems in English keep coming to my head. I don't have the means to tell if it's any good, hence I came here. Also I've already browsed through some poetry here and it's so diverse, my little heart is happy to absorb so many new ways of writing.

TL;DR I can't spell, love marshmallow fluff, k-pop, and commas,,,,,,,,obviously (NOT).

edit: Failed to mention that I'm a girl/female/women, I mean you'd get that from my poems anyway - but god knows if and when anyone will read them.
edit 2: just wanna mention that this billy person seems really cool

Greetings, Smelly Sock (you know you're stuck with that now, right?)

Polish poetry is wonderful -- although I can only read it in English, because I'm uneducated. It's lovely to have you here, and we hope you don't find out the truth about billy...

Hello,

I am acclimating gradually, timidly adding one toe at a time into the pool and waiting until it has adjusted to the temperature before adding the next.  I have been reading the blend of styles and voices gathered here and it is a very pleasant flavor.  Eventually I may add my voice, but for now I am content to simply read.  I hope that is ok?
