Hello, TranquilityBase, and welcome.  It’s lovely to meet you.  I do agree with you that there is something special about the Pigpen.  Thank you for the critiques you’ve already provided, and I look forward to reading your poetry.

P.S. I’m happy you were able to resolve your registration issue.  Our beloved founder, Billy, is no longer with us.  If you have difficulties in the future you can send a pm my way and I would be very happy to assist.

All the best,
—Quix

Thank you Quix,

So I am now qualified to post a poem?
I need to read how to post as its been a while since I was on a forum.

Yes, you are good to go! Thumbsup

We ask that you offer feedback for every new poem posted. Try to offer at least one piece of feedback in the same forum where you plan to post if possible. If you have trouble posting your poem, just pm me and I’ll see what I can do.

(To post a new poem just go to the forum where you intend to post and there should be a little black button at the top right labeled “post thread.”)

Hey everyone!

It’s been years since I’ve posted here (I think 2014) This was my home away from home and I’ve been missing it. I’m a bit rusty on critiquing and writing so I figured this was the best time to get back to it. I’m looking forward to reading y’all.

Hi there,

I'm Leaf. I've been writing poetry for a few years, but it's a bit rubbish, mostly. I'll be grateful for critique to help me improve. And I'll try to be useful for others, if possible.

All best,
Leaf

Hi everyone!
I'm actually an old newbie...I used to frequent this site around 2017ish. I shudder to think the poetry i must have put you all through. I have gone through a lot since then (as I think is normal for my age...I'm just 20 this year) and am just getting back into poetry very recently. I hope to find some of the same community this place gave sad little young me so much love before. When i randomly remembered the name of this forum and saw it was still active, i became so so excited, im really looking forward to becoming active again.

Hi all,

Glad to join PP and I hope to give and get some helpful critiques. Which poses a question. How do I critique. By that  mean what are the steps to posting a critique.

Thank you.

Hello, I'm Amanda. I'm new here. I was active on another poetry forum for a number of years, but have been out of touch with writing for awhile. Hoping to get reacquainted with my muse. I look forward to reading your work.

Hi! I just joined this forum to read, critique, and get critique on poetry. I think I already posted a poem but I forgot to introduce myself. Hiii! I've been writing poetry for probably three years, I haven't been published, and I want to improve my craft....so that's basically it.

Greetings & Salutations!
I have been writing since I was twelve, but found my true voice when I started my path of seeking truth, back in 2003.
I live in Salt Lake City, Utah near the Wasatch Mountains that give me inspiration to write every time I drive the fifteen minutes to get there.  To me these mountains are simply magickal.  I have two adult daughters that I love to hang out with, I read and write, play guitar hero and enjoy some online gaming when facebook is not being a bit$$ and ticking me off.  My favorite food is chocolate, breakfast, and italian, in that order.  My favorite movies:  Bambi, The Matrix, and Dragon Heart.  Favorite color: Blue, Silver, Purple.  Favorite Animal:  Dragon, Cat, Horse.  Favorite Sport:  Billiards and Baseball.  Glad to meet you all and I look forward to getting to know you.

Hi Dragon - that’s quite a well rounded CV!
Anyone who like The Matrix ha la sua testa in the right place.

Hi everybody, nice to meet you all!

This forum seems like a fairly unique, interesting and pleasant corner of the internet. Smile  Mind if I join?

About myself: I'm a Dutchie (so English is not my first language) with some years of writing experience under her belt, but still eager to learn. Sometimes I call my work poetry, sometimes lyrics, sometimes stories - I'm not sure what they really are. I don't think of myself as advanced, but I think that with practice I'll eventually find my niche. My late poetry teacher once said that I'm not very good with (poetry) rules, but that fortunately I write my best works in free form. Hence I'm seeking that fine balance between using the rules as guidelines, while also allowing space for words to flow freely.

Will be fun to read all of your works as well! <3

Hi Momma,

Welcome to the site, we are all really scary poetry teachers but we try to be gentle with newcomers.
