Hello, I'm don miguel. I've been writing and studying poetry for a few years now and have had a few things published in some UK small press magazines.
I hope to offer some constructive critiques and feedback, and look forward to reading other people's poetry. I might even post one or two of my own if I'm feeling suitably inspired!
Cheers, dm

Don Miguel, it's so good to see someone starting off with critiques instead of poems... not that we don't want poems of course, but I always think your way is the right way round. Some great insights too. It's a pleasure to meet you!

Thanks for the welcomes, Leanne and billy. I'm sure I'll see you around the forum - the 'Serious Critique' section looks the place for me.
And is there a 'hidden' section at all? I know some forums have these so people can post poems on the internet they might want to submit to magazines, without falling foul of magazines considering them 'previously published'. I'm not saying all mine are that good or anything, but I can't seem to find one and would appreciate this option. If there isn't one, could I suggest this as something to consider introducing to the forum in future, if possible?
PS. And thanks for your other comments, Leanne. Although I've only started with a critique because I don't have any poems worth posting at the moment! Thanks again, dm.

No hidden forum, but there's an option to hide your poems from search engines, guests etc -- you'll find instructions on how to use the hide tags here
Also, anything posted in The Sewer or The Pig's Arse is invisible to all but logged-in members, but those are not for serious poetry

just use the hide tags for poems you
may want to submit for publishing, or to save you any embarrassment
outside these hallowed halls
when ever someone replies the hide tags also function in that post and so on. just click on reply to see how to use them. the beauty of these hide tags is that you can post anywhere on the site and the post won't be seen by a search engine.

We love critiques around here don miguel . i dare say you've started off on the right foot already. Hope you enjoy the forums (and tell us if you have any trouble with the hide tag business)
PS. If you can, try your hand at giving some of the others a bit of feedback. If you already have, thanks, can you do some more?

Thanks for the replies, everyone.
That's good to know there's some way of hiding poems from search engines; thanks for the links and advice, I'll have to check that out soon.
Thanks again, dm.
