What is the draw about cardboard? Must be imbued with cat magic.

It's true, if handy, those things they'll put they're rump on,
but for cardboard, ooh for cardboard,
 from miles, away, they'll come.

I have two cats, and they are terrified of boxes.

		Love this!
I read in this thread that you're not supposed to interpret what you see (you speculate about what the cat likes). Granted, he probably doesn't do it if he doesn't like it, especially given the self-absorption of those cuddly kitties, but it would probably be a stronger piece if you cut "likes."

I've noticed that people say many things, most without giving what they say much thought
People also say do not generalize, but human beings in groups, by and large tend to follow large patterns. So while it is nearly impossible to predict or say anything specific about an individual without knowing them, the opposite is true with large groups. Taken as a given that a person is rational and not motivated by bias, generalization can be quite accurate. If this were not true, TV would not be supported by advertisement.

A very fun image :-)  Is this meant to be a haiku or just a short poem? If a haiku, then I would say that it sounds closer to a run on sentence than a haiku with separate fragment and phrase to my ears. If just a short poem, ignore this completely :-)

		justlikeyou,
I don't write American Haiku, but I would think that should be obvious from the lack of form. Punctuated and put in proper sentence form it would read.

Cat likes pizza box for his bed.
(He)Assumes (the)loaf position.

But that was not my intention.

My intention was to create an image using the fewest words possibly and still convey all I wished to convey.

Thanks for reading and commenting,

Best,
