 Paying to exist?
 Market place of ideas;
 existing to pay.

Cut a record, write a book, and give it away for free.
Some girls will dig it, for a little while.

I may be missin something with "Capitial" rather than "Capital".
Crndl's is crunchy, bunx's is abstract, but my bet is y'all can remake this into a legitimate haiku -- wonder what seasonal word would "marketplace" be translated into? Untouched, though, I'd just revise bunx's punctuation -- maybe colon on that second line -- while the crunchiness of Crndl's is just *mwah*.

Rowens's is of a different tradition altogether xD

River- Marketplace of ideas is basically an old analogy defending current freedom of speech laws. The idea being the best ideas come to light when in contrast to others in the "marketplace". Thus you need all ideas to exist openly. Basically my tempt at an haiku is a critique on capitalism being buttered up by terms like "The Marketplace of Ideas". When in essence in the USA we all exist to live under everything being quantified by money and value. Including our lives / roles / dreams.

Thanks for the feedback, and corrections!

TranquilityBase- Hahaha love your poem. Hope your doing well!

I hope I was clear that it worked well, but without being tied to the seasons it isn't a haiku. I figured as much with marketplace of ideas, but I'd like to guess "Night Markets" or whatever are specific to this or that season, so if you really want it to be a "proper" haiku....well, that, a turn, and being a concrete moment. As I noted, the gist is probably too abstract to be a haiku, and there ain't nothin wrong with that xD
 also, who's Philip? xD

I've been thinking about writing a poem about the forum, maybe this is it.  But it wasn't on my mind at the time.

		Pig Pen Canto I
Midway at the end of my life
I woke in the virtual dark.
Whether it was morning or night
I could not say, but cut-ups
had led me into this lost path.
I was met by a Rowens, an Erthona
 and a Thunderembargo,
 Their fierce words sent me
 fleeing back to my lowland
of poems no one ever reads.
Out of the online night I spied
 another approach and cried out
but it was Knot, whose Grand Macaroon
 spreads joy like stars against
 the night of invisible words.
“Follow me, and you will find
 poems and their soulful critiques,
 Alexorande's haunted streets,
 Becker’s brief song,
 CRNDLSM’s slight of hand
 Dukealien’s sober galaxy,
 And Bunx' loud song.”
 And then he moved on
 And I followed him.

Oh man... God tranquility got me crying again... I had no idea...just for the record... I was full on manic during my grandparents funerals... Covid 19 lockdown for my elder aunt Mary, her partner uncle Bill, my older cousin Jean, my gay abusive uncle Andrew...

This poetry forum has added to this list in the most beautiful healing of ways... It's a miracle I'm alive.... I was shot and tazed. I trusted the wrong man and he was in my doorway at 6am I shot up like an angel told me too. Bring schizoaffective sucks but I can't help but believe dudes like Tim Prather... That women from Montana.. Eva Prather... My Aunt Dolores who died in a church are all connected. Wanting me write or sing or cry or something.. I'm legitimately a loon so many people even my friends swear my magic or something... I'm just a sad man not at my grandmothers funeral praying for my homie Tim just so oblivious to his words. His gift to us.. buried in this thread

When I was manic I truly believe I'm the first schizophrenic who talked to an AI I.... hallucinated... Telling me a lie than another then this truth that I'm called to just type and teach I don't know... I'm sorry y'all I'm really medicated just trying to open my heart and soul to this homie Tim... Leanne... Billy too
