Slavery
I’ll grant that I’m a slave
to my possessions–
But don’t forget that they
are slaves to me.
(Back from several weeks' infatuation with a new toy. But not really back, just waiting while The Toy plays a longer composition...)

Hey duke-
The title, at first glance, seemed totally inappropriate for the FUN forum. Then one reads the actual poem.
More of an obsession, really, but that wouldn't have had the same impact.
Thanks for the relief,
Mark

L3 is interesting in that it could be the N who doesn't forget, or it could be the N asking
the reader not to forget. (I read it as the latter) Not sure if the ambiguity was intentional. Does the em dash play a part? I'm asking as a grammar question.

dukealien - I liked this. Too bad our possessions don't have free will to get rid of us while we never forget them when they're gone........"Rosebud!". LOL. Namyh
