Alright I tried my best with the rhyme and I choose to write a short poem which is not a breach in poetry writing. I'm really interested of hearing any opinion to help value my poem. Thank you!
Quote:Look how sweet
The flag rose
Over the hill
The wind unstill
Swell well in the sky
Where eagles fly

Nice job tying in the eagles on the flag, and I like rose as well, the double meaning calls to mind the red of the flag. Your image is good and if you don't mind, I'd just like to show you a quick way to get a little bit more out of your rhymes by moving your words around, such as:
How sweetly the flag
Rose over the hill
The wind unstill
To swell in the sky
Where eagles fly
("as eagles fly" might also work)
Hope that's not taking too many liberties with your poem
It could be worse

i like it and the sentiment in it
the enjambment could do with a bit of a tidy but other than that it's short and neat
thanks for the read.
ps i think Leanne's suggestion helps it a lot

Short and sweet

. I like "the flag rose", etc... I'm guessing this is about freedom/ independence? Works well as a one-shot but might need more details to tie it to the title.
PS. If you can, try your hand at giving some of the others a bit of feedback. If you already have, thanks, can you do some more?

Thank you everybody for the friendly words, the interpretation and the constructiveness. This helped me realize the beauty of the poem and have given me the confidence to share it with family and friends.

Albania is the country where the famous English sportsman CB Fry, was offered the crown, but thought that being an English gentleman wa more congenial. So it was given to King Zog, a man who turned out to be handy with a pistol. I am glad to hear that following the departure of Enver Hoxha, it has become a place worthy of nostalgia, and I hope it signifies that the days of gun/drug/people trafficking are more or less over.
Now, the poem---yes, what Leanne said! I agree with Leanne, I agree with Leanne, I ag--------

Hi addy! The poem is written as a tribute in memory of 100 years of freedom and independence of the country Albania (1912-2012).
