I am acclimating gradually, timidly adding one toe at a time into the pool and waiting until it has adjusted to the temperature before adding the next.
I have been reading the blend of styles and voices gathered here and it is a very pleasant flavor.  Eventually I may add my voice, but for now I am
content to simply read.  I hope that is ok?

Readers are precious; writers can be had for a farthing a bushel.
So we welcome you with open toes!

P.S. Be keep a watch out for sharks; they're Australian and sometimes toes
(along with most other things) confuse them.

I'm brand new here and I hope I can meet some friendly people!

I found an amazing poem on the internet and I want to ask if the other users on here know of anything similar.

Where can I do this? Please PM me if you have an answer.

Read that letter you got when you signed up, then critique three poems in "Novice Poet and Critic".
You'll be amazed what happens.

Hi, I am MHenry. At least that is what my elder sister called me when I was a boy, and darned if I didn't grow to like her and the nickname!
I hope to find fulfillment and peace in The Pig Pen. I am a huge fan of Robert Zimmerman. I like to read and write. Sometimes I do that.

Fulfillment, yes, peace not always so much, we can be a rowdy bunch who sometimes poke more than the poem but the reading can be grand. Hope you enjoy the site.

As ellajam said, we are but mere mortals with all the concomitant quirks you've come to expect.
Bobby-baby can do almost no wrong. My sisters called me Vic-vee; I love them and still hate it and will never forgive them.

Hi Smile This is a new one for me. We've had a member or two that were about 9/10 dead, but usually it's the living working with the living. I guess if you have enough interest in poetry to read a bunch of poems and offer some thoughtful comments in the workshops you could become a member. If you do I guess you could post one of your dad's in Poetry Discussion and see if people were interested in responding, the workshops are for people interested in editing their work, and I guess your father is pretty well done with that. Smile

I'm curious as to what you hope to gain from this. Do you enjoy reading them yourself? I found what I think is the only sonnet my dad attempted right around the time I was learning to write them myself, it made me smile. just knowing he had an interest in trying it.

Hello, everyone! I am Abhishek and I'm from India. I love reading poems and have tried writing a few, too; although, I've been a novice at it for as long as I can remember. I am hoping to gain a lot from The Pig Pen, and I hope I do that.
