Say "Hi" in this Thread
Hello all my name is George and I am no writer. I wrote a couple of poems last week, they just came to me. I am ignorant to all formatting and guidelines. I asked my daughter to read them and provide feedback. She suggested a website for feedback from professionals. So here I am, I look forward to sharing and learning, and quite possibly nurturing the development of a skill set I didn't know I had.

Welcome to the Pen. Coquette, thank you for the critiques you've already given. Cnc, try reading some of the poems in Novice and expressing your impressions. There are some critique tips in the Important Threads of Novice and on the right side of our home page there's a link to Colin Ward's Poetry Tips, always a fun read.

I hope you enjoy the site.

Hello, my name is Clay and I'm very happy to be here posting and sharing poems.  I don't consider myself "educated" with regards to writing and poetry, but I "feel" and because of that I'm here amongst you.

Hey
Hows everyone doing?
I am completely new here and I am getting to grips with how to do everything. I am here to share some of my poetry to others and just spread the words basically. It would also be nice to read and talk to others who are in the same boat.
Anyway enjoy your day wherever you are

Hi guys, my name is Dan. I am like writing poetry, usually in the form of song which I can play along to with my guitar.

My late, older brother was a poet from way back. Publishing his own books, shirts etc. There is a great video on him at youtube

I relish writing bad poems, if it means someday I'll write a good one.

Welcome back,

Editing an OP doesn't bump a thread so you were right to post so that members could take a look at the edit. Smile

Hi! I stumbled upon this site in search of a community to share poetry and give feedback. I'm familiar with the workshop setting, taking both poetry and fiction workshops at my University (Currently a junior undergrad). I started writing poetry in the freshman year of high school and joined a laid back poetry forum that had some murky moments as the site developed. I'm hoping to be as active as I can here!
