Ego, Urgency, Loss, and Meaning
Edited
Last spring was ecstasy
summer was the crash,
fall I remember years ago.
Airgo morning comes
where went my ego?
Sense of urgency
my strife our lives
victories matter
small wins especially.
Pride comes last.
Philosophy is a pain
when you lose everything.
Remember sweet independence
simple joys of having friends.
Mend when you can.
Hour glass of happiness
turned right side up.
Sand slowly draining down.
Despite sinking sadness,
space fills with something.
Scared serenity that
I can sit simply write
these things down.
Words come to head
not dead but sheltered.
Hourglass flipped
it was easily done.
Mentality changes daily
breaking the curse of
ego, urgency, loss, and meaning.
